Red Brick Farmhouse is a country retreat nestled in the heart of the picturesque rural outskirts of Higginsville, Missouri. This 1920's prairie style farmhouse, with its original 9 1/2 foot ceilings and old pine floors has been carefully renovated to recapture the charm of a bygone era. Upon entering the farmhouse you are first greeted by the charming front porch, perfect for relaxing and viewing the yard with its dozens of large mature trees and surrounding pastures and fields. John and Hilda's Room offers a king size, antique walnut bed with a Stearns and Foster mattress and a quaint sitting area for two. Emma's Room features a queen size, antique brass bed, sitting area, and a writing desk. Edwin's Room has a queen size, antique Eastlake bed plus an additional twin size bed.
The farmhouse also offers a large dining room and living room just for our guests, with a fireplace and a flat screen television with a DVD player for your personal enjoyment. Located just a short drive from the Confederate State Park, Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, and Civil War Sites, Higginsville is situated in central Lafayette County. In addition to historic sites, numerous of Missouri's finest wineries and orchards are nearby. Take a drive or ride on the Old Trails Road Scenic Byway, Route 24, for a car or motorcycle tour that will reset your pace from city life.
